Zoom

Zoom- Is to look closer to something.If you want to see it very big.

X-Y scatter chart

X-Y scatter chart- this is a digital chart its done on the computer i believe and you can do it on paper to. It is a graph that has its x and y axis but it does not use tha youo nly see the points that have pugged.

Worksheet

Worksheet-A worksheet is a sheet of paper, or on a computer, on which problems are worked out or solved and answers recorded.

works cited

works cited-A page at the end of a research composition that lists all the resources that you used.

Workbook

Workbook-A spreadsheet document that contains one or more worksheets.      

Work area

Work area-A virtual desktop that allows you to see only those object versions in which you are interested.

WordArt

WordArt-WordArt is a text-styling feature that is available in the Microsoft Office suite of products. It allows users to create stylized text with various "special effects" such as textures, outlines, and many other manipulations that are not available through the standard font formatting.                           

Word-wrap

Word-wrap-The ability of a word processor to move a word from the end of one line to the beginning of the next while you are typing. This means the ability to type an entire paragraph without hitting ENTER at the end of a line!

Windows-based applications

Windows-based applications- this is an application like any other but his is about tests.

Wildcard

Wildcard- Is a symbol that represents a character or series of characters. In DOS and Windows the asterisk (*) can represent a letter or combination of letters. This is useful in performing file and text searches.
 Also This can help if you are not certain of spelling, or only know part of a term, or want all available spellings of a word (British and American English.

Views

Views-A view is what can be seen in a range of vision. when you see something like in a movie form (slide Show) or a background. i believe on a computer. 

Vertical (value) axis

Vertical (value) axis-The axis extending straight up and down through the center of gravity of an aircraft. The vertical axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal and lateral axes. The vertical axis is sometimes called the "z" axis. Yaw is a motion around the vertical axis.

Undo

Undo-Undo is a command in many computer programs. It erases the last change done to the document reverting it to an older state. In some more advanced programs such as graphic processing, undo will negate the last command done to the file being edited.

Trendline

Trendline-A chart used by technical analysts. A line is drawn by connecting the highest or lowest prices to which a security has risen or fallen within a period. The line's angle shows whether the security is in a downtrend or an uptrend.

Transitions

Transitions-the act of passing from one state or place to the next . other saying odf words instead of that word.

Track Changes

Track Changes-The feature in Word with which you can monitor who adds and deletes what from a document. You can “hide” Track Changes but still have them enabled.

Toggle

Toggle-Turn something on or off; make something, such as a command or toolbar button, active or inactive. 

Title bar

Title bar-a horizontal label at the top of a window, bearing the name of the currently active document.

thesaurus

thesaurus-A thesaurus is a book that lists words grouped together according to similarity of meaning (containing synonyms and sometimes antonyms), in contrast to a dictionary, which contains definitions and pronunciations.

Theme

Theme-In computing, a theme is a preset package containing graphical appearance details, used to customize the look and feel of (typically) an operating system, widget set or window manager. Its the way you want something to look like.

Text box controls

Text box controls- It when you use microsoft word and you want a text box. its a square usually depending how you arrange it the way you want it and then write in it. people usually put write next to a picture when your doing a project it explains whats going on in the picture.

Text

Text- is a kind of computer file that is structured as a sequence of lines. A text file exists within a computer file system. its gives some kind of informative message.

Templates

Templates-when used in the context of word processing software, refers to a sample "fill-in-the-blank" document that can be completed either by hand or through an automated iterative process, such as with a software assistant.

Taskbar

Taskbar- a taskbar is a bar displayed on a full edge of a GUI desktop that is used to launch and monitor running applications. Microsoft incorporated a taskbar in Windows 95 and it has been a defining aspect of Microsoft Windows's graphical user interface.

Tabs

Tabs-Tab key (abbreviation of tabulator key) on a keyboard is used to advance the cursor to the next tab stop.

Table

Table-In relational databases and flat file databases, a table is a set of data elements (values) that is organized using a model of vertical columns (which are identified by their name) and horizontal rows. A table has a specified number of columns, but can have any number of rows.

tab stop

tab stop-A tab stop on a typewriter is a location where the carriage movement is halted by mechanical gears. Tab stops are set manually, and pressing the tab key causes the carriage to go to the next tab stop.

Syntax

Syntax-is a system used to generate lexical and syntactic analyzers (parsers) (both deterministic and non-deterministic) for all kind of context-free grammars (CFGs) as well as some classes of contextual grammars. 

Synonyms

Synonyms- two words that can be interchanged in a context are said to be synonymous relative to that context.

superscript

superscript-a character or symbol set or printed or written above and immediately to one side of another character.

Sum

Sum-is the addition of a set of numbers; the result is their sum or total.

subscript

subscript- is a number, figure, symbol, or indicator that appears smaller than the normal line of type and is set slightly below or above it – subscripts appear at or below the baseline, while superscripts are above.

Style

Style- This is a way of showing how you like things.Its a visual art of designing. the way things are by decorting it on a computer and on paper.

Status bar

Status bar- Is the bar across the bottom of the computer screen that displays information about the computer or program.

Spreadsheet

Spreadsheet-  Is a computer application that simulates a paper, accounting worksheet. It displays multiple cells that together make up a grid consisting of rows and columns, each cell containing either alphanumeric text or numeric values. 

Speaker notes

Speaker notes-This is used when you want to write something on the bottom of your paper in microsoft word.

Spacing after

Spacing after-when you want to change your writting in microsoft word. Its like line spacing but the oppisite.This is to space after a paragraph not after each line.

SmartArt

SmartArt- Microsoft Office 2007 (officially called 2007 Microsoft Office System) is the most recent Windows version of the Microsoft Office System, Microsoft's productivity suite.  Its to see this visually on the computer.

small caps

small caps- When your letters are lower case. In other words capital letters A, B, C, ... shown in the same form but in small size typically of the same size as lower-case letters like this a,b.c.

 

Slope

Slope- In mathematics, the slope or gradient of a line describes its steepness, incline, or grade. A higher slope value indicates a steeper incline. i dont know in computer.,

Slides/Outline pane

Slides/Outline pane- when you want to see your slide but your not finsh yet. you want to check it to see if there are any corrections to make.
